Another swimming record for Gujarat girl in National School Games

  • Gujarat girl Vandita Dhariyan set a record in the 200m butterfly under-17 category in the National School Games aquatics competition at Subhas Sarovar in Kolkata on Sunday. She clocked 02.26:53 seconds to enter into the record books.

    This was Vandita’s second record at the 55th edition of the competition. The Gujarat girl had set a record in the 100m butterfly on October 22. Maharashtra girl Rujuta Bhatt made a hat-trick of wins after topping in 200m butterfly of the under-14 category with a timing of 02.35:22.Rujuta had reigned supreme in the 50m and 100m butterfly. Meanwhile, Maharashtra will take on hosts West Bengal in the waterpolo summit clash tomorrow.
