The Andhra Government and Police today denied any involvement in the fake encounter case. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday said that no one from the state was involved in the killing of Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Balwinder Singh said that no inquiry was being ordered into the matter.
“We are not denying it or accepting it. We have not ordered any inquiry into the matter, as the Gujarat Government has not told us anything. If the Gujarat Police approaches us for investigations, we will extend all cooperation,” he said.
