The online entrance examination for the second Ramnath Goenka Journalist of the Future Awards will be held at 11 am on January 27. The awards, instituted by the Indian Express Group in memory of its founder, will be given to 10 outstanding final-year under-graduate students from across the country who want to choose journalism as a career.

The winners will be selected after a nation-wide entrance examination and an interview. They will be awarded a six-month internship with stipend and an opportunity to train and interact with some of the industry’s best professionals at the newspaper’s New Delhi edition. Short-listed candidates will be called for an interview in Delhi and the winners will be announced on March 1, 2007.
