The then Madhya Pradesh chief minister Arjun Singh had owned the "entire responsibility" for allowing Union Carbide chairman Warren Anderson to leave the country after the Bhopal gas tragedy,expelled SP leader Amar Singh said on Monday. "At that time Arjun Singh had owned the entire responsibility and it was his authentic statement. I don't feel that he will deny his earlier statement. He is a very mature and straight person," he said told reporters. He expressed doubt over the statement of P C Alexander,former principal secretary to Rajiv Gandhi,that the then prime minister may have had a role in Anderson's release. "It (the statement) does not sound reliable as Alexander had changed his political allegiance over a period of time," he said in a reply to a question. He wondered why Alexander made the statement after such a long time.
