Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda said on Tuesday that he would cooperate with any investigating agency, if approached, in the illegal investment and hawala scam against former ministerial colleague Madhu Koda and his associates.
"If such a situation arises, I will cooperate," Munda told a press conference in Ranchi.
Koda, a former CM, was mines minister in Arjun Munda cabinet in 2004. The Enforcement Directorate was currently examining the files of the department of that year.
"Everything will be clear if there is an impartial investigation," he said.
Koda, an Independent MLA had dethroned Munda and taken over the reins of the UPA government in the state in September 2006.
He is facing hawala and illegal investment charges amounting to Rs 2000 crore unearthed by the IT department on October 31.
Koda was yesterday summoned by Enforcement Directorate to appear before it on November 15 for questioning. The ED had earlier filed an Enforcement Case Information Report, which is equivalent to an FIR, against Koda and his former cabinet colleagues Kamlesh Singh, Bhanu Pratap Sahi and Bandhu Tirkey.
