The Indian Army on Monday said that China violated the Indian air space in Leh in Jammu and Kashmir.

Army Spokesperson Northern Command, Colonel Kachari said, "It has happened. That is confirmed. But there is nothing alarming in it. I have given a written reply and that is the correct version."

Two Chinese helicopters reportedly violated the Indian air space in the recent months in Leh. The helicopters air-dropped some canned food in a barren land at Chumar, northeast of Leh, along the border on June 21.

The MI series helicopters were reported by residents living along the Pangong lake.

The Chinese People's Liberation Army has been crossing over into the Indian side in this region quite frequently with August reporting the maximum number of incursions. In August this year, Chinese patrols have entered into the Indian territory 26 times and walked away with petrol and kerosene meant for jawans of the border guarding forces. The Chinese Army had made 223 attempts last year and left tell-tale signs.

Thumbs down to our politiciansBy: rocky | 02-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward One day we may lose our whole country to our enemies unless our people get rid of this sick government. Future of the country belongs to youth people, they can only take quick and strong actions against this insurgents. We spend billion $$ in defence for no use, just to see china
Indian DefenseBy: Anant | 01-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward India should ask for tenders and get estimates from USA, Russia for her defense. Indian politicians and armed forces can certainly not guard Indian borders. There is virtually no Intelligence Service in India and we have to find out from USA as to what Pakis are doing. India certainly needs third party to defend her. It will be cheaper since there will be no money to be made by the politicians for defense projects. Thre will be no corruption and India wont need to buy or make any weapons. NATO might oblige if India is willing to pay. It certainly will be better protection and a lot cheaper.
Defence forcesBy: lawry | 01-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward If China attacks India well..the only suferers will be the present armed forces may be they will be butchered as our Politicians have demoralised our men in uniform and stripping them slowly their position and pay it is again proved that the seats in NDA goes vacant as boys/girls choose other career which pays them well and better conditions of work and perks.and retirement benifits they need not face the harsh conditions of living and guarding the frontiers in the Himalayas or desert in the western borders.Isolation of the soldiers from all civilian life both during his service and retired life and worst is his negligence in all quarters after his retirement.so what standards do we expect from a would be soldier to match a well trained and discplined chinese boys and girls and evry politician and administrators is a soldier.Indians remember their soldiers only during a war a crisis or calamity and conviently forget them after that.Hav a look at our boys and girls and their attitude
China a real threat to growing IndiaBy: Javed ahamed | 01-Sep-2009 Reply | Forward Its no doubt fronm the latest incdent that china is a real threat to india as far as it's borders are concerned.Chinese army is regularly monitoring Indian borders and might be preparing for a gradual takeover of indian territories.despite of the condemnable behaviour from the chinese part its astonishing that india still hesitates to take any stringent action against our nieghbour. The fact is that China can never ever be trusted by any means. If in case india is in a state of war with pakistan do you readers believe china will be nuetral towards india.NO CERTAINLY NOT!!Its healthy relation with our arch rival pakistan is well known.so without any doubt one can say that they wudhelp pakistan in all ways. While india will be concentrated on pakistan its other border will be virtually exposed. And then you know what to guess. So only thing i suggest is consider china as an enemy first rather than bieng a friend.Else by the end of this century india wud be jus a part of the chinese UNDERBELLY
