On the first day of the Army recruitment rally, a total of 4,000 candidates from Moga appeared.
Tomorrow there will be a rally for Ludhiana and later for Mohali and Ropar districts. The rally will continue till July 7 at Guru Nanak stadium.
Director (Recruitment) Col M S Mahar said, "Out of the 4,000 candidates, a total of 1,500 were able to clear the run and later many were also rejected because of lack of proper documents and other physical tests like height, weight, chest and many other factors."
It was a mix of urban and rural candidates in the rally. The recruitment rally for the candidates of Ludhiana, Moga, Roop Nagar and SAS Nagar districts will be conducted from 2 July to 4 for soldiers on general duty.
The rally for candidates of all districts of Punjab for soldier clerk/ store keeper technical (SKT)/ technical/ nursing assistant will be conducted on July 5 at the same venue.
