Around Town : Kuwait to invest in Indian industries

The Ambassador of Kuwait,Sami Mohammad Al-Sulaiman,in a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda,informed that Kuwait is in the process of making investments in Indian petrochemicals,fertilisers,healthcare and education sectors.

CHANDIGARH: The Ambassador of Kuwait,Sami Mohammad Al-Sulaiman,in a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda,informed that Kuwait is in the process of making investments in Indian petrochemicals,fertilisers,healthcare and education sectors. The Abassador also informed that the investments will be worth 3 Billion dollars. Hooda informed the Ambassador about the state’s plans of developing petrochemical complex in Panipat and invited Kuwaiti companies to set up downstream projects. Hooda suggested that a joint working group may be formed consisting of senior officials from India and Kuwait to explore the investment possibilities in Haryana. Al-Sulaiman visited Yadvindra gardens,Pinjore,on Thursday.

Woman run over by bus

Ambala: A housewife identified as Jarnail Kaur resident of Sarswati Vihar Ambala City who was run over by a Haryana Roadways bus,succumbed to her injuries in the civil hospital Ambala Cantonment on Thursday.

The accident occurred when the deceased was crossing the NH1 near Kali Paltan bridge and was run over by a high speed bus of Sonepat depot. The police registered case against bus driver Ramesh Kumar for rash driving under different sections of IPC.In another road accident,newly married youth Sanjiv resident of village Nanhera was killed when his bike was knocked by some unidentified vehicle while crossing the NH1 near Nanhera T-point Ambala Cantonment. He died on the spot. Sanjiv was married a few months back and was the only son of his parents.
