Blood donation camp held at SACCM

Ludhiana:Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Blood Bank of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital on Saturday. The blood was collected by a team of 8 members headed by Dr Sonia from the Blood Bank. A total of 175 units of blood were donated by the students and faculty members from the college. Team NSS under the guidance of Prof Sarita Arora and student coordinators motivated the students to donate blood and contribute towards community service.

Awareness rally on AIDS day organised

Ludhiana:The Red Cross Wing, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town observed International World AIDS Day on Saturday by organizing an awareness rally in which the enthused and energetic students of the college enlightened the general public regarding the disease. Principal Charanjit Mahal flagged off the rally and apprised the volunteers and cadets about the risk of getting AIDS. The students passed through the streets of Model Town, sensitized residents regarding the disease and also discussed the measures to combat AIDS.
