Aseem stars in DAV Police Line win

  • Riding high on Aseem's all-round performance (48 and 2 for 20), DAV Police Line, Ambala, thrashed SCA Cricket Academy, Rajasthan, by seven wickets in a match during the first BK Sharma Memorial Cricket Tournament U-14 at BTS Cricket Academy , Sector 48, on Wednesday.

    After winning the toss DAV Police Line, Ambala, elected to bowl first. Their bowlers kept the run-rate in check and took wickets at regular intervals to skittle out the SCA Academy for 116 in 28.5 overs. Aditya Sharma top scored with 37 runs, while Sidant made 27. Sidharth and Aseem took two wickets each.

    In reply, DAV Police Line chased the target in 18.5 overs losing only three wickets. Aseem played an entertaining knock of 48 runs while Amanpreet remained unbeaten on 28. Sahil picked up 2 for 25.

    In another match of the day, Faridabad Coaching Centre recorded a mammoth 165 run win over Gurgoan Coaching Centre. Batting first, Faridabad CC posted 257 for 5 in 30 overs. Tushar Gill missed out on double ton by just one run as he dominated over the opposition bowling with a blistering display of batting. Nakul scalped 2 for 28. Chasing the target, Gurgaon CC were bowled out for 92 in 24.3 overs. Chirag top scored with 30 runs. Tushar bagged 4 for 19.
