ASI’s son held for snatching mobile phone

Kuldeep Singh,son of an ASI with the Punjab police,was arrested by the police from the Kitchlu Nagar market for snatching a mobile phone of Lalit Kumar,a resident of Haibowal resident. The accused’s father is posted in Ferozepur district.

The police said the youth tried to flee from the spot,but the police party nabbed him after giving him a long chase.

The motorcycle which the accused was riding was also found to be a stolen one,said Maninder Bedi,SHO of Division No. 8. Kuldeep Singh has been booked in a case of snatching,he said.

He said that the arrested youth was a drug addict and was involved in another case of snatching from near Fountain Chowk area,about two years ago.
