Additional SP Ram Chandra Yadav (57), posted in Chandauli district, and his gunner were killed while the driver suffered critical injuries after the SUV they were travelling in collided with a truck in Jaunpur district Tuesday. Jaunpur SP Manzil Saini said the accident took place around 3.30 am near the bridge on the Gomti. The ASP, his gunner Rishiraj Yadav and driver Abbas were critically injured. The district hospital referred them to a Varanasi hospital. The gunner was declared brought dead while the ASP died during treatment.
