A day after the theft of Rs 2.5 crore from the BJP office hit the headlines, two sacks were brought out from the backdoor of AICC treasurer Motilal Vora’s office at AICC headquarters and loaded into a taxi. What attracted the attention of the people was the presence of an armed security guard. The taxi boot was opened and closed several times to check it was locked properly. AICC office-bearers, however, sought to laugh the matter off, saying that the Congress did not deal in “hard currency”.
