  • “I am open to that (the issue reservation),” Rahul said. “I am open to both sides but we should focus on solving the problem. Let’s not worry about how the seats are divided. Problem is there are not many seats and that is why this is an issue.

“If the number of seats in India becomes unlimited, would reservation be relevant? So let’s not start dividing people.”

Supporting the entry of foreign universities in the country, Rahul said 30 years ago there was not enough money to increase the number of institutions to the desirable level. “But today we have enough money for that. Stanford, Oxford and other international institutions want to come here, but they are stopped.”

Rahul's remarkBy: Geetika | 23-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Those who are calling "Rahul" an idiot etc, should introspect about their intellect ,knowledge, and ability to comprehend. He is right when he talked about the gap between Foreign Universites and Indian Univerities. So called touted IIT stands at 100th place by international standard. By the way, those who are callling him an idiot, given a chance, will not hesitate to forge relation with this most elligible bacholor. Peek into your family and his family's standard!
Rahul's EducationBy: Carmela | 23-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward I am surprised to see this joker commenting on the education system of India. He failed in India miserably and went abroad for education. What degree did he get nobody knows. I read in Express about his mental (dis) abilities.
RG is absolutely wrongBy: Bhalu | 22-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Mr. Rahul Gandhi need to wake up and realize the edcational system in USA is not good. Examples :- (i) The number of working days in USA is barely 180 days a year (ii) Chemistry, Biology, Physic are poorly taught to US students. You need to remember Mr. Gandhi that US is known for the brain-drain policy (iii) The value and moral is one of the worse issues in US school. Most of the scientists, doctors, professors in USA are immigrants from all over the world.
You aren't even a stephanian Mr. Gandhi!By: Anne | 22-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward i'd really like to know how Rahul Gandhi got the ide idea that Stephen's discouraged questioning... i wonder how many classes he actually attended in his 3 month stint at College... There are thousands of staphanians who can tell u how to ask questions in college Mr. Gandhi... actually being IN the college is one huge requirement for it...
Mr.Gandhi's comments on StephensBy: Shiv Dhawan | 24-Oct-2008 Reply | Forward Everyone has freedom of speech. So does rahul. But what he says is untrue.Stephens is probably the only institution that supports freedom of expression and right to question-that was true 25 years ago and even today. I and indeed generations of students from 1881 onwards have never come across a single instance of college muzzling us.It is the creme de la creme of educational institutions and Mr Gandhi ought to feel priveledged to be an alumni even if he did not really graduate from there. And being a distinguished alumni, he ought not bash his alma mater in public fora that have nothing to do with the institution.
