The police have also got hold of fake identity cards used by the terrorists, bank account details, and photographs of all IM members saved by Atif in his laptop, the logo of the Indian Mujahideen, emails, inflammatory literature and CDs shown as part of indoctrination.
The Delhi Police, which registered five FIRs in the serial blasts case, arrested five IM members — Mohammad Saif, Zeeshan Ahmad, Zia-ur-Rehman, Saqib Nisar and Shakil — after the shooting incident at L-18, Batla House on September 19, in which Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma of the Special Cell was killed.
Of the five FIRs, four are expected to be clubbed in a collective chargesheet. These are the blasts in Karol Bagh, Connaught Place and Greater Kailash. The incident being left out of this chargesheet is the India Gate/ Tilak Marg incident since it is apparently not linked to these accused.
The Delhi Police claim that in Karol Bagh, Shakil planted a bomb in a three-wheeler; Zeeshan along with Sajid (he was killed in Batla House) planted a bomb in a dustbin on Barakhamba Road; Khalid (absconding) and Saif planted bombs in garbage bins outside Regal Cinema; Junaid (also absconding) and Atif planted bombs in the Greater Kailash-I market. Zia and Saqib Nisar are also likely to be named in the chargesheet as co-conspirators since they assisted in planting the explosives.
All the accused are to be charged under IPC Sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), 121 (waging or attempting to wage war against the Government of India), 121 A (conspiracy to commit offences under Sections 121), 120 B (criminal conspiracy), 427 (mischief causing damage), Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Explosives Substance Act and Sections 10, 12 and 13 of Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
