The CEO of Australia’s Commonwealth Games Association,Perry Crosswhite,on Thursday said he could not guarantee the safety of his country’s athletes for the 2010 Games in New Delhi. “We have said to all the sports that the decision on whether athletes go or not is their decision,” Crosswhite said. “If some of them think it’s not secure enough, they’re going to make that decision. We can’t guarantee anyone’s safety. All we can say is we’ve checked it out and we think it’s as safe and secure as it can be,’ he said.
