An 82-year-old ex-serviceman was robbed of his gold chain by an autorickshaw gang in Gandhinagar Monday. One of them was caught by a Local Crime Branch team which was patrolling the area. Police said Mahendra Bhavsar was travelling in a shared auto on the G 5 Road when his "co-passengers" snatched his gold chain. When he shouted for help, an LCB team rushed there and caught one of them while three others fled.
