Ayodhya: SC admits petitions

The petitions have been filed by the Akhil Bhartiya Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Samiti and an individual,Farooq Ahmed,and comes after the same Bench had on May 9,2011 dubbed the high court’s division of land as strange,as none of the parties had demanded any partition.

The Sunni Waqf Board,however,appeared before the court on Monday and opposed the plea of the Ram Janmabhoomi Samiti on the ground that the latter had not been a party in the high court civil suit litigation and so cannot be inducted now at this late stage. The Bench said it will consider it when it takes up the hearing.
