  • Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad may have shifted base to the Centre, but his heart remains in his home state. While his frequent visits to Jammu and Kashmir have aroused much curiosity among both Congress and National Conference leaders, the former chief minister was learnt to have made overtures to the PDP leadership recently. While speculation in the ruling party about efforts to cobble together an alternative coalition in the state does not have much basis, Azad’s continuing interest in state politics has certainly got some state leaders worried.
