Baby python rescued

  • Care for animal and protection for environment (CAPE) rescued a baby python today. Dr Sandeep Jain, member of the Punjab State Board for Wildlife and chief coordinator, CAPE India, received a call from one Iqbal Singh Lucky Chawla, a resident of Mohar Singh Nagar, informing him that they had rescued an injured baby anaconda. The matter was then reported to R K Luna, chief wildlife warden. The photos were sent to the Emergency Rescue Network (ERN) of Wildlife Trust of India, which confirmed that it as a python but. The baby python was then taken to tiger safari, where it will be kept for two to three days. It will then be released near Sutlej.
