The Punjab Government will not challenge the verdict of the lower court in the graft case against PCC president Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal said on Tuesday. The state Government would not go in for an appeal in a higher court, he told the media in Tohra village.

The lower court had acquitted Bhattal of all the corruption charges. The case against Bhattal was registered during the previous SAD regime.

On former CM Amarinder Singh’s allegation that Bhattal was hand in glove with him, Badal countered: “How can this be possible? How can the two opposing parties play the friendly game?” He said his Government was ready to take the help of the Opposition for development of the state.
