Though the Directorate of Education (DoE) has fixed a timeframe for the admission process, beginning December 15, all three branches of the Bal Bharati Public School have decided to stick to their own schedule.

The schools, in Rohini, Dwarka and Gangaram Hospital Marg, have already started the online registration process for nursery admissions for session 2010-11.

School authorities said the last date for registration - the process is entirely online — for Rohini was November 4 and for the other two branches, November 6.

The last day to submit the money in Rohini is November 7; in Dwarka it is November 11 and November 9 for the Gangaram branch.

The last of the lists, if any, will be put up by December 2 and the admission process will wrap up in Rohini by December 5 - 10 days before the DoE has mandated that the admissions should begin.

It is learnt the DoE has not taken any action against the school, though it had warned against deviations from its calendar - December 15, 2009 to March 31, 2010.

The DoE order came on October 28 while the school had started giving out online forms from October 26, school authorities said.

Principal of the Gangaram Marg branch, L V Sehgal, said: “We will go as per our registration schedule. Our managing committee met on October 14 and approved the criteria and schedule.”

“We have also informed the DoE. At that time, the DoE had not come out with this order. We issued advertisements in newspapers on October 25 and started the registration process from October 26,” he further said. He added the school “would try and convince the DoE that the schedule was issued keeping in mind the Supreme court order.”
