Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray has expressed satisfaction over son Uddhav Thackeray’s handling of the affairs of the party he founded four decades ago.

“I am satisfied… Uddhav has handled the party affairs with confidence and strength,” the 83-year-old leader said in an interview. Uddhav is now Sena executive president.

Copies of the video interview, taken by noted journalist Sudhir Gadgil earlier this month on the occasion of Marathi weekly ‘Marmik’s’ 50th anniversary, were released by Sena on Friday.

Expressing his haplessness over not being able to meet as many people as he used to earlier owing to frail health,Thackeray said “even today people meet me but due to the ailments,I don’t have the strength I once had.”
