If you thought Vadodara is still the city of salaried class, think again. At least four high priced luxurious bungalow schemes in the city have come up in the last six months at Sevasi and Gotri. Each unit of these schemes comes with a price tag ranging between Rs 1 crore and Rs 2 crore.
According to the developers, it is not the Non-Resident Indians who are buying these ultra modern bungalows, but the local residents, including doctors and industrialists. Developers have come up with schemes boasting of individual swimming pools and covered parking with space for two cars. Vicenza Highlands, Vedant Villas, Greenwoods and Vishranti Greens are the present housing schemes.
Pawan Infrastructure, the developer of Vicenza Highlands, has focused on the security aspect apart from providing a space of 6,500 sq feet to 12,000 sq feet. Vicenza will have electric fencing, while the entrance will have finger printing technology for authorisation.
According to Dexter, one of the two architects of the firm Uneven, who have designed the scheme, “Our design focus on security besides making it a comfortable home. We have added lift facility considering senior citizens in the family. We have taken all the steps to make living more secure.”
There are 28 bungalows in the scheme, most of which have been sold out, claim the developers. “Most of the people who have booked their houses are doctors and industrialists from Vadodara only,” said Chetan Shah of Pawan Infrastructure. “Industrialisation of Vadodara in the last several years has helped boost the income of the people and they are willing to spend money,” he added.
