    Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore suffered a painful leg injury on the sets of her upcoming film 'Whip It'.

    The 'Charlie's Angels' star was left nursing an injured leg when a scene with co-star Juliette Lewis turned nasty, Empire magazine reported.

    The 34-year-old actress had put on her skates alongside Lewis and Ellen Page for the roller derby film and ended up hurting herself while filming a wrestling scene.

    "In one scene I wrestle Juliette Lewis. Her skate and both our body weights were on my thigh, so I ended up with a bruise a foot long and a foot wide. There's nothing hotter than a girl fight," Barrymore said.

    'Whip It' is a comedy which marks Barrymore's directorial debut and is based on Shauna Cross' novel 'Derby Girl'.
