  • The alleged exchange of fire between the police team and terror suspects resulted in the deaths of Atif Amin and Mohd Sajid, alleged members of the Indian Mujahideen outfit that was behind the serial blasts in the Capital on September 13 last year.

“If every bullet fired is going to invite a magisterial inquiry or a murder case, the officers will avoid carrying weapons and young men in this country will avoid joining the police,” an affidavit signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) H M Meena said, snubbing the Commission’s suggestion.
