BBC apologises for revealing Queen comment on Abu Hamza

Within hours of reporting that Queen Elizabeth was upset over activities of radical Islamic cleric Abu Hamza, the BBC apologised for the details of a private conversation she had with its security correspondent.
Frand Gardner, the BBC's security correspondent, told Radio 4's morning Today programme that the Queen told him of her frustration at Hamza remaining at liberty in Britain before he was charged with offences under the Terrorism Act in October 2004.
The BBC later said it was sorry for the "breach of confidence". It is unusual for the head of state to comment on matters such as terrorism.
