BBN industry body seeks investment subsidy on lines of J&K

The Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh (BBN) Industries Association had written to Union Minister of Commerce and Industries Anand Sharma to extend the industrial investment subsidy to Himachal Pradesh,too,on the lines of Jammu and Kashmir. The association has expressed resentment over the Centre’s decision to increase the eligibility period as well as the quantum of investment subsidy and benefit of income tax exemption in favour of Jammu and Kashmir only. It was already available to the northeastern states. Association’s media secretary Sanjay Khurana said the policy of the Government of India to give incentives to the states going through unrest and discriminating against a peaceful state like Himachal was highly unjustified and discriminatory.
