The second hearing of the Disciplinary Committee ended without much headway as Lalit Modi lawyers reiterated their demand for recusal of IPL interim chairman Chirayu Amin and Arun Jaitely in the panel probing charges of financial irregularities against the suspended IPL Chairman. Modi,as expected, skipped the three-and-a-half hour hearing on Tuesday, but has been asked to be present at the next hearing on August 1 in Delhi.

The core issue of recusal of two members from the panel was debated. Our lawyers argued the case. The BCCI will be allowed to come out with a rejoinder, Modis counsel Mehmood Abdi told reporters.

Meanwhile,a release from BCCI stated that the board has agreed to give documents asked by Modi, provided that it would be only used to prepare and present his defence.

Lalit K Modi has moved an application seeking production of certain documents from BCCI… copies of the minutes of the Governing Council dated April 26,copy of the minutes of the Governing Council meeting dated June 25,copies of the minutes of the meeting of the Special General Body dated July 3 along with list of members present, agendas for the meeting of the Governing Council. He has also asked for a copy of the amended agreement dated June 25 executed between BCCI and Sony MSM. However, after some arguments by the parties, the BCCI has provided to the counsel of Lalit Modi the the relevant documents, the release said.
