In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, the World Wildlife Fund today launched its Green Hiker Campaign 2010,which focuses on spreading awareness about the vulnerability of the Himalayan ecosystem that needs to be addressed by tourists, trekkers and mountain-lovers themselves.

Speaking on the occasion was 16-year-old Arjun Vajpai, the youngest Indian to have climbed the Everest. Stressing on the importance of training mountaineers,Vajpai said,“Because of cold, dead bodies don’t decay and are just lying around on the Everest.”
