Bedazzled!

Is it what stars are supposed to do or they just don’t want their day to be compartmentalized into time zones? Or is it just a habit that’s become a habit? While we mulled over why celebrities choose to come late,news came in that the flights were delayed. Which meant that model-turned-actress Mughda Godse will probably take another hour to reach the venue. Almost two-and-a-half hours late for the opening of PC Jewellers’ showroom in Sector 22-D,Mughda finally walked in,cut the ribbon,and checked out the dazzling baubles. So,is ‘all that glitters’ her little fetish? “No,money is my fetish. If I have it,then I can have anything,” that was honest enough!

From modelling to stepping into the world of films,Mughda agrees that the transition was pretty difficult. “Being a model,they seldom take you seriously,and a lot of perceptions change along the way,” tells Mughda,who never made a deliberate effort to join Bollywood. “It was an off-hand attempt and it worked,” she smiles,now looking forward to her next releases including Madhur Bhandarkar’s Jail and Ajay Devgan’s All the Best. “Like Fashion,Jail too is a bold subject,and I feel audiences want to check out new ideas,new stories,for they too are getting bolder,” feels Mughda. While Jail and Fashion had her character cut out,isn’t she the least worried of getting lost in a multi-starrer like All the Best? “It’s okay,because comedies demand a multi-star cast for it helps in creating more chaos!” Quiz her whether Bollywood has changed her and made her more superstitious about her name and all the rings to wear,and she laughs…”I’m the way I am. Nothing’s changed.”

In the meantime,the Fashion gal is working with Bobby Deol on a horror film. “The shooting is on and it’s being directed by debutant Rajeev Virani,” she signs off.
