Bhagat Singh’s nephew to join Manpreet Badal’s movement

"The movement will be a wake up call to kindle conscience and hearts of Punjabis," he said.

Legendary martyr Bhagat Singh’s nephew Abhay Sandhu said that he would join former Punjab finance minister Manpreet Singh Badal’s ‘Jago Punjab’ movement.

“The movement will be a wake up call to kindle conscience and hearts of Punjabis all over the world for reviving Punjab’s economy,putting an end to corruption,poverty,illiteracy,addiction and unemployment,” Sandhu said while expressing solidarity and support to Manpreet.

“It is necessary to concretise political freedom into economic freedom to fulfil the dreams for which Shaheed Bhagat Singh and thousands of freedom fighters made the supreme sacrifice and went to the gallows,” he said.

Bhagat Singh had visualised that after his martyrdom the British will be forced to quit but vested interests will take over from them,Sandhu was quoted as saying in a statement release by Manpreet’s office.
