Bishnoi readying to ‘drill hole’ in Chautalas’ Sirsa

Sirsa, the den of Chautalas, will be the next and final destination for the show of strength of the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) chief Kuldeep Bishnoi. Of late, Bishnoi's attack has been extensive on the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) led by former Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala, than the ruling Congress. The party is trying to spread its tentacles to parts of the state other than its known stronghold, Hisar.

Hence, after having started from Rohtak, the home town of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the next stop was Bhiwani, the stronghold of former Chief Minister Bansi Lal that has now been captured by his daughter-in-law Kiran Choudhary, then Rewari, the land of Punjabis in the state.

"Sirsa is my final stop and there is a specific reason to organise the rally at Sirsa. I want to annihilate the fear factor of the Chautalas in this area. Not many political parties, even the ruling Congress, dare to enter this den, but I will and show them the mirror that their days are over in state politics," said Bishnoi.

BJP chief Nitin Gadkari, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj and party general secretary Harshvardhan will also be attending the event. A chopper has already been hired by Bishnoi to ferry them to the venue on December 2.

Responding to a question that there was a general impression that his hold was confined to Hisar, which was known for his father's invincible fort, Kuldeep blurted, "This rally will answer this query, as well. I want to further expose the Congress that already stands exposed at the national level, thanks to Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda".

There was tension among the cadres of both the HJC and INLD over participation in the rally, as it was getting tough to rope in locals in the rally, due to the strong presence of Chautalas' workers in the area. Massive effort is already on in Hisar to cart in workers to the venue. The HJC that has little presence in Sirsa wants to expand its base here, but it seems a tough call. Hence, the party is taking help of the BJP cadres of Sirsa. State BJP chief Krishan Pal Gurjar said the party had activated its cadre in the area. "I have issued instructions to all the district presidents of the party to ensure that their respective units participate in the rally. We shall expose the ruling Congress party at the rally," said Gurjar.
