The city unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a rally on Sunday to protest against the recent strikes including the indefinite strike of the transporters and the recently-ended strike of petroleum companies.
Part of an all India call, the demonstrators passed through Sectors 34 and 35 before culminating the procession at the party office in Sector 33.
Former parliamentarian and senior leader Satya Pal Jain said though oil companies have rolled back their strike, things are far from normal.
President of the state unit Kamla Sharma added that the people of the country are disappointed with the Congress rule as strikes and dharnas are being held everywhere.
