BJP leader commits suicide in Bhopal

A BJP leader in Bhopal committed suicide by shooting himself with a country-made revolver in the Ashoka Garden area,police said.

A BJP leader here today committed suicide by shooting himself with a country-made revolver in the Ashoka Garden area,police said.

The incident occurred around 1.15 pm when the BJP leader,Babulal Sahu shot himself on his right temple with an unlicensed weapon,Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP),AK Pandey told reporters.

Though he has not left any suicidal note,prima-facie it appears that he took the extreme step as he was not having cordial relations with his wife,Pandey said adding exact cause will be known after the probe.

The body of Sahu was sent for an autopsy,police said adding a case has been registered and further investigations are on.
