  • RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who had asked the top BJP leadership to sort out problems in the wake of Lok Sabha polls debacle, on Tuesday seemed to suggest that the party may need a "surgery" or even "chemotherapy" treatment, a view rejected by BJP chief Rajnath Singh.

"As far as BJP is concerned, whatever surgery, medicine, chemotherapy is essential for them, it has to be diagnosed by them (BJP)," he told a press conference in Jaipur.

Bhagwat, who was in Delhi in August and had advised BJP leaders to resolve their internal squabbles, said, "If they (BJP) need any organisational help, if they ask for it, we will provide them help".

Asked if the party needed surgery, BJP chief Rajnath Singh said, "Not at all, who says that?"

On whether the morale of party workers is low, he shot back, "Our morale is high. Who is saying like this?"

However, senior BJP leader Murli Manohar Joshi said, "The doctor can only talk about treatment, we are patients."

Replying to questions, Bhagwat said RSS was not responsible for the sorry state of affairs in BJP.

On the defiance shown by former chief minister Vasundhara Raje, who resigned from the post of Leader of the Opposition nine weeks after being asked to step down, Bhagwat said it was for BJP and its leadership to find a solution.

On the issue of 'Marathi manoos', which was a key issue during the Maharashtra polls, the RSS chief said, "Every Indian belongs to India. There are various languages and religions which have their own identity. Hindutva for us is considering them as part of one (entity) and we do not believe in things like Marathi pride."

    ... contd.

Gandhi suggested to dissolve congressBy: suchithra | 30-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward So long the BJP was in opposition, it was by and large known as a party with moral integrity, but when it aligned with the political leaders with shady background for the sake of power, the malady of corruption infected this party too.Once the moral integrity is compromised it opens the door of corruption.Perhaps the BJP leadership deliberately went for ideological compromise for capturing power at centre.Advani said:“ The middle class does not like compromises and tends to be idealistic. At the same time,it is unhappy if we lose power. It wants power as well as ideological integrity. This is the dilemma of the party ”.Congress corrupt model rule never allowed others too to follow the right path.No wonder Gandhi suggested to dissolve congress
Because Congress Started to Question his Reckless AmbitionsBy: ABC | 01-Nov-2009 Reply | Forward Gandhi was not even a member of Congress and had no right to suggest dissolution. It is incorrect to claim that Congress setup the corrupt model. Corruption exists in several developing countries and none of them have Congress (except may be South Africa). I don't think corruption would disappear if Congress went away today. Indian politics are corrupt inspite of Congress and not because of Congress.
DISSOLVE ALL PARTIESBy: Baskar | 30-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Considering the way our Country's politics is taking shape, I would suggest dissolving all the parties in the field. They are all cheaters and looters. There is just no difference because elections today has become a money power game and to be in politics you need money. Therefore, no party can be categorized as incorrupt simply because without corruption, you cannot survive in politics today. Can you ever imagine a poor today standing in elections and winning. No way, it is possible. You need to be a crorepati. Therefore, my advise to you would be to just bother about you and your family instead of moaning about the credentials of A or B. It is not going to help you anything.

Fools talk baout BJP's failure without giving them najorityBy: Indian | 29-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Had BJP been given full majority under Atlaji, India's outlook would have changed. Its fool who talk about BJP's failure without giving majority
WE ARE NOT FOOLS, BUT YOU ARE ONEBy: Baskar | 30-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward How can the BJP which stands for just 340 seats out of 542 expect a majority ?? The BJP is itself not confident about its prospects right from the beginning and make alliances with all and sundry psuedo-secular parties as it lambasts them time and again. How can any party like the BJP which pretends faith in its ideology of no appeasement align with parties like the DMK, JDU, Ram Vilas Paswan etc. who are the early proponents of reservations for Muslims. Even now the JDU is demanding in Parliament separate reservation for Muslims like the Dalits. So, how can the BJP justify its alliance with them ? The practice of releasing separte manifestos individually for the Party and the other for the NDA combine is itself a policy of deceit and treachery. So, we are not fools. Fools are people like you who still repose faith in a party like the BJP which is just another political party without ideology, programme or anything. Do not think I target BJP alone. The motto of any party which stands for elections is power alone and they are not bothered about the means to achieve that and that includes your BJP as well.

IN WHICH WORLD ARE YOUBy: Baskar | 30-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Have I in my message expressed any support to Congress ? Read my message well and then respond instead of indulging in blind response. My only contention that all parties are one and the same and are morally bankrupt. There is no need for affiliation to this or that Party because except for the party and symbol everyone stands with the same motto and that is to win elections by hook or crook. I have not specified any party by A or B. All that I did mention was not to get fooled yourself by their pretensions and public posture. If I had sounded indecent in my message, I apologise for the same. I am sorry as you said "truth is bitter".
WHY DO YOU REASONBy: R Sundar | 30-Oct-2009 Reply | Forward Hey dumbo Baskar. Why are you trying to reason with this fellow ? He is one of the paid members of the RSS/BJP to scribble in forums. He has nothing in his mind except to criticize Congress for anything and everything. Leave this poor fellow.
