BJP taunts Rahul, says venting frustration of Bihar loss

The BJP hit out at Rahul Gandhi for likening Narendra Modi with Mao Zedong.

The BJP on Saturday hit out at Rahul Gandhi for likening Narendra Modi with Mao Zedong. The main opposition party said the Congress general secretary was trying to vent his frustration over the massive loss his party faced in Bihar where his personal strike rate was “in the minus”. “Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi campaigned extensively in Bihar. Rahul campaigned in 22 seats but the party could not win even a single seat in any of these. The party won four seats where he did not go. Thus, his strike rate is in the minus”,BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said. He criticised Rahul for comparing Modi with Mao,saying,“Rahul Gandhi wants to take out the frustration of Bihar’s election loss in Gujarat. Such statements are expected from him at such a time. We have sympathy for him and we can understand what his mental state would be like after such a big loss.”He said the BJP hopes that Rahul would campaign extensively in Gujarat in 2012 “just as he did in Bihar and go to all the constituencies and face an even bigger defeat”.
