BJP to create database of Modi rally participants

IT cell teams in all 14 districts of Kashi region will be engaged in the exercise.

The BJP UP unit will prepare a database of those attending the partys PM candidate Narendra Modis upcoming rallies in the state. The database will be used to appeal to the participants to vote for the BJP during the Lok Sabha elections and keep them aware of the partys programmes in the state.

The Information Technology (IT) cell of the party will begin the hectic exercise from Varanasi,where Modi will address his Vijay Shankhnad rally Friday. The party is expecting a gathering of more than three lakh people.

Since we are doing it for the first time,and there will a huge gathering,we are expecting to collect details of atleast one lakh people in the rally, said Karunesh Sharma,state convener of BJP IT cell.

The IT cell teams in all 14 districts of Kashi region will be engaged in the exercise. The team will have the responsibility to collect details of those travelling in buses. Similar teams will be placed at the entrance and at the rally ground. The objective is to be in touch with the people after the rally,and keep them aware of the upcoming programmes of the party, said Sharma. He added the database will be filtered according to their districts.

The list would be sent to partys respective district units where local leaders will meet people at their residence or contact them over the phone.

If local workers could keep in touch with these people every week,they could become our voters and volunteers,too, said another leader.

Vijay Shankhnad rallies have been held in Kanpur,Jhansi,Bahraich and Agra. In these rallies our priority was live webcast. Now,we are heading toward creating a database of participants, Sharma said.
