
A city court on Thursday sent two suspected Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists to five days of police custody in connection with September 13 Delhi serial blasts case.
Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaveri Baweja sent Mobin Kader Sheikh (24) and Asif Bashir Sheikh (22) to police custody till March 16.
The Delhi Police sought extension of their custodial remand on the ground that the entire criminal conspiracy was yet to be cracked.
According to the police, Mobin, who is a graduate in computer science, used to draft the e-mails sent to different media houses minutes before the serial blasts at Delhi and Ahmedabad. He was arrested along with Mohd Mansoor Asghar Peerbhoy, a computer engineer, by Mumbai police in 2008.
Asif, a B E in mechanical engineering, used to translate the mails from Urdu into English which were forwarded to media houses by his accomplice Mohd Asghar Mansoor Peerbhoy, the police said.
He allegedly remained with Peerbhoy in a car at the time of hacking the wi-fi network to transmit the terror mails.
The September 13 serial blasts here claimed 26 lives and left 100 others injured.
