  • Questioning the BCCI’s decision to keep the junior Rajasthan teams out of various national level tournaments, the government appointed ad hoc committee has said the Indian board’s move was devoid of any logic.

“On what ground the BCCI is keeping Rajasthan teams at bay? Earlier an under-19 women’s team was stopped from playing in the BCCI tournaments on the pretext that two teams were selected by different factions. Later, the same logic was cited to keep the under-19 boys’ team out,” former RCA deputy president and currently spokesperson of the nine-member ad hoc committee, Shivcharan Mali, said.

“They took the decision despite the fact that an ad hoc committee has selected both the teams. Then on what ground the BCCI is keeping Rajasthan team at bay?” he added.
