Karishma Kapoor, whose movie, 'Dangerous Ishq' released in May, was in the city on Tuesday to attend a press conference by the Sanjay Kakade group. After appearing in movies on and off since 2003, 'Dangerous Ishq' marks her Bollywood comeback. However, the movie failed to generate enough buzz at the box office. Speaking about the film's performance, Kapoor says, "I never did this movie for the box office. I am at a stage where I don't have to fight for a number one position. All the work I do is for the pleasure of work itself." "The movie was also for my kids. they didn't even know I was an actress till the film was being made," she adds.
Kapoor was 16 when she had first joined the industry in 1990, filming for 'Prem Qaidi'. In the past 22 years, the film industry has seen massive changes, according to Kapoor. "I am glad though that I was part of this evolution in the industry. It's nice to see how it has opened up and there are scripts and roles for everyone now," she says. Kapoor is currently busy with several endorsements and is reading scripts which may translate to movie projects next year. "I am enjoying my time with my family and resting until I begin new projects," she says.
