Salman Khan terms it “a boy’s night out with a heart”.
In a rare display of Bollywood camaraderie and generosity of spirit, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunny Deol and Govinda will walk the ramp at the HDIL Couture Week on Tuesday night for Salman’s charity, Being Human: The Salman Khan Foundation. Katrina Kaif will also walk with “the boys”.
The Wanted star had called on his Bollywood colleagues to raise awareness for his trust. “I wanted to walk with friends. Some of these guys have been my friends before I became an actor and some became friends along the way. All these guys have strong inner values, they have real personalities that are not just manufactured images,” says Salman.
Though he’s pleased with the line-up, he is a tad disappointed that Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff couldn’t be part of this grand show because of their travel schedules.
The Being Human clothes and accessories that the Bollywood stars will be sporting will soon be available at stores under the Being Human label. The operational details of the stores are still being worked on, but the clothes will be available on the Being Human portal which will be launched on the day of the ramp show.
“We’ll be selling a lot of stuff like bracelets signed by me, my paintings, sketches, watches and the clothes on the portal. We’ll put it all for sale and the proceeds will be used for the treatment of the needy,” Salman says.
