At least one person was killed and 15 wounded when a bomb went off in India's restive north-eastern state of Assam on Tuesday, police said.
Senior police officer D. Deori said the blast occurred in Jyotikuchi area of Guwahati, Assam's main city.
More than 80 people were killed in a string of bombs in Assam last year. That attack was blamed on Islamist militants from neighbouring Bangladesh in league with the rebel group, ULFA.
