It was 2.45 pm when the much awaited white private jet, owned by the Singhanias, landed at the Lohegaon Airport amid heavy downpour. Closely watched by the security personnel, the aircraft came to a stop besides two vehicles — a white Mercedes van and a metallic gray Toyota Innova.

After a few minutes gap, even as the entire area was lashed by heavy rain and visibility was down to a few metres, a man — presumably their personal security guard — walked out to check the arrangements with the Central Industrial Security Force personnel stationed there. Satisfied, he went back to the aircraft.

“A little after 3 pm, Angelina, clad in a white shirt and dark khakis,disembarked from the plane followed by Brad who wore dark clothes and sunglasses. They were escorted to the white Mercedes van. The children (Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt) were brought in with the help of some film crew who were part of the receiving party,” an airport source, who was a witness to the arrival, said.

Meanwhile, as the drama was unfolding in the apron area of the IAF-controlled airport at Lohegaon, the airport continued to function as usual. Traffic was temporarily stopped at the airport as the two vehicles followed by a police jeep made their way out.

Airport sources said the Hollywood couple and their entourage had carried out their customs and immigration formalities in Mumbai. The couple drove straight to Le Meridien Hotel in the city where arrangements were made for them on the fifth floor.
