Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt has reaffirmed his support for US President Barack Obama and same-sex marriage despite his mother having thrown her weight behind Mitt Romney.
Jane Pitt declared her support for Romney earlier this year, criticising Barack Obama for his liberal views on gay marriage.
However, Pitt said at the screening of his forthcoming film 'Killing Them Softly' in London, that Obama retains his vote, reported The Telegraph.
"I am an Obama supporter and I'm backing his election campaign. Gay marriage is inevitable. The next generation, they get it. It is just a matter of time before it becomes a reality," Pitt said.
His mother called on Christian voters to accept the Republican Romney, saying she would be happy to vote for a "family man with high morals" who shares "Christian conviction" on homosexuality over the likes of Obama.
The 'Ocean's Eleven' star said in 2006 said that he would not marry Angelina Jolie until America allowed same-sex unions. Pitt and Jolie announced their engagement in April. The following month, Obama declared his support for homosexual marriage.
