File report on Jigisha case by Dec 5: Court
A city court on Friday gave the last opportunity to the police for filing forensic test reports in the murder case of IT executive Jigisha Ghosh’s murder, the probe into which led to cracking of the murder mystery of TV scribe Soumya Vishwanathan. Issuing a notice to the investigating officer (IO) in Ghosh’s case, the court said reports should be filed on December 5.
Flyover projects: CM pulls up contractors
Key flyovers being constructed ahead of the Commonwealth Games are in serious danger of missing deadlines. While many are expected to miss their July 2010 deadline, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit pulled up contractors and asked them to raise the pace. The projects running late include the upcoming overhead Barahpullah Nallah road, the Salimgarh Fort-Velodrome road, upgrading the Uttar Pradesh Link Road that connect Delhi and Noida and the Ghazipur grade separator.
MCD bid for stack parking project
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has invited bids from interested parties to execute its ambitious stack parking project. In its tender document, the agency has invited bids for developing automatic stack parking facilities at Greater Kailash, Defence Colony, Karol Bagh, South Extension, Lajpat Nagar and Rani Bagh. Designs for these have been approved and traffic demand surveys have been completed, said officials.
39 fresh cases of dengue, total nears 750
With 39 people testing positive for dengue on Friday, the total number of those suffering from the vector-borne disease in the national capital this season shot up to 749. The civic authorities said they have intensified the drive to check breeding of from outside the city,” Municipal Health Officer N K Yadav said.
