Two booked for attempt to murder
Amritsar:Police have booked two people for allegedly firing at a person, with an intention to kill him, at a prominent coffee shop in Amritsar on Saturday. No one was injured as the bullet hit a glass in the coffee house. Police said Jaskaran Sodhi and Sahil Kumar had previous enmity with one, Amarbir Singh. On Saturday, all three were at the coffee shop, when Sahil, who owns the restaurant, accompanied by Sodhi opened fire at Amarbir. Raids are on to nab the accused.
Three HCS officers transferred
Chandigarh:The Haryana government has issued transfer and posting orders of three Haryana Civil Services (HCS) officers, with immediate effect. IP Bishnoi has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC)-cum-Chief Executive Officer (CEO), District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Rewari; SB Lohia has been posted as ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA, Sonepat; and Shiv Parshad, has been posted as ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA, Sirsa.
Ambala development Plan 2025 notified
Chandigarh:The Haryana government has notified the Final Development Plan 2025 for Ambala, to be made applicable to the controlled areas declared outside the towns of Ambala City and Ambala Cantonment. "The development plan was necessitated to channelise urban growth in a planned manner and check unauthorised constructions that are coming up on the outskirts of Ambala City, along Ambala-Hisar, Delhi-Ambala-Amritsar and Ambala-Naraingarh roads," a state government spokesperson said.
Haryana Police issues instructions to banks
Chandigarh:In wake of the recent robberies in cash-carrying vehicles of banks in New Delhi, the Haryana Police issued instructions to various banks on Sunday, sensitising them on following certain mandatory security norms. IGP Alok Mittal said, "In all cases of vehicles carrying bank cash, escort vehicles should be made mandatory. In case large amount of cash is to be transported, the police control room should be informed well in advance".
