Chandigarh:The Sonepat police arrested a youth for allegedly shooting at two men outside a private hospital in Sonepat on Wednesday. Rishabh allegedly shot at Yogesh Bhagat and his associate Mukesh Dahiya.
Punjab govt transfers six IPS officers
Chandigarh:The Punjab government on Thursday transferred six IPS officers with immediate effect. While Dinkar Gupta, posted as additional director general of police (security), has been give the additional charge of law and order, Kuldeep Singh has been posted as inspector general (community policing and training).
10 injured as bus overturns near Batala
Amritsar:Around 10 people were injured after a private bus bound for Batala overturned on Thursday near Shahabad village. While the critically injured were rushed to a private hospital in Batala, others were taken to the civil hospital, said Batala SSP Tulsi Ram. The injured passengers have told the police that the bus overturned after the driver tried to save a person on the road, he added.
