JAMMU: A Jammu University lecturer,Vikram Chander (32),allegedly committed suicide by setting himself ablaze at his residence here,police said on Tuesday. Vikram was a lecturer at the Department of Statistics in the University.

Lioness,deer found dead in Corbett Park

RISHIKESH: A lioness and deer have been found dead in Dhikala range of Jim Corbett park,officials said on Tuesday. The lioness was pregnant and its body bore fresh injury marks. A chital deer was also found dead near the lioness,director of the park Ranjan Kumar Mishra said,adding that possibly the two were killed by a lion in a fight for prey.
