Abuja: At least 15 people were killed and 85 others injured when a suicide car bomber rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a Catholic church holding Mass in a northern Nigerian city on Sunday. The bomber rammed his SUV against the gate of the St Rita’s Catholic Church in Malali leading to the explosion.

Palestine to seek UN recognition in Nov

RAMALLAH: Palestinian officials said their President is moving forward with his plan to seek upgraded observer status at the United Nations next month. One official said President Mahmoud Abbas is expected to ask the General Assembly to approve a Palestinian request for “non-member state” status on November 15 or November 29.

Malala condition stable: UK doctors

London: Malala Yousufzai,the teenaged Pakistani activist shot by the Taliban remains in a stable condition,two weeks after she was admitted to a hospital in Britain,doctors said on Sunday. In a statement,the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham said,”The medical team caring for Malala Yousufzai say they are pleased with her progress. Malala remains in a stable condition.”
